Married in Aug 2008

“Alex and I were married on Aug 27 2008 and we’ve now moved to Canada together. I’m from Vancouver Island, Canada and met Alex through Xfactor in Jan 2007.

After initially arranging to meet up, over the next week Alex and I saw each other four times and a fortnight later, we couldn’t even spend a night apart. One morning we were lying in bed and he turned to me and asked me if I’d marry him. I didn’t hesitate to say yes.

We now have a baby on the way. Everything is going amazing for us. Alex is now a Canadian Permanent Resident *a cdn in training* and he has landed a great job in Vancouver. We have a beautiful flat with the baby room all set up :) Our wee lil fella is due in May...ironically we met May 31st.

We can't thank you guys enough for bringing us togther. I can’t believe that 2 years ago I didn’t even know Alex existed. It just goes to show that you never know what card fate will deal you next.

Baby’s doing fine and we've decided on Dylan for the name, a good mid-Atlantic compromise! He’s due on the 5th of May, so it could be any day now. I have a job working as International Sales Manager at Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre and all is well.

Alison Gooch and Rob

Rob and I went on our first date after searching and matching on your website Xfactor Online Dating. I emailed him and he replied with his phone number. Two days later I phoned him and we talked on the phone for about 3 hours, arranging to meet up the next evening and go Tenpin bowling!  What a fun night we had and just hit it off straight away.  

We started dating and things were going really well.  He lived in another town and neither of us have cars so we were forever travelling back and forth on the trains.  During the summer he surprised me with a holiday to Tenerife – that’s where the photo is of - we had a fantastic time and got on so well.  When we got back from holiday, I started a new job in the town that Rob lived in, so we spent a lot more time with each other. Then in November 2007, he asked me to move in with him.  

In January I moved in with Rob and have been living together happily ever since.  We are currently just about to go on holiday again in a couple of weeks and everything is going really well. Thanks Xfactor.

Peter and I met through Xfactor in Jan 07.  We chatted online and we hit it off immediately  We’re both chatterboxes which probably helps.  Also both musicians, birthdays very near each other and…well, there has to be that extra sparkle doesn’t there?  Which there was – and is – in spades.  Peters lovely and tall which was also a plus point. 
 
We had our first date in Covent Garden where I work, which went brilliantly, and then our next in Greenwich and we’ve been together ever since!  We bought our first house last year and are enjoying being together and doing ‘housey’ things and sorting out the garden…but even more excitingly, we’re planning our wedding which is next July.  

He proposed while we were on holiday in Spain last year and I’m now the proud wearer of a beautiful trilogy diamond ring…but more importantly, have a fiancé I wouldn’t trade in for the world.  We have so much in common and even started a jazz band which we’re currently getting off the ground.

We cant thank Xfactor enough for finding one another and we will recommend you to all our friends!

Steve’s story..

Suzanne’s story..

On our first date I remember thinking how nice Steve was basically because straight away he made me laugh; it was evident he had the same slightly deranged humour as me!!

Steve put me at ease with a couple of funny one-liners and before we knew it we were chatting away like we'd known each other ages!!! It was brilliant as basically xfactor gave us that chance and since then we've never looked back.
 
We've been together now for 9 months....we're off to the Canadian Rockies in October (our dream holiday!) The future doesn't just look rosy, it's positively gleaming!!!

Phil and I met through X factor in September 2006. We are very much in love, head over heels in fact. I never thought that I would meet someone so special.

When we first met my first impressions of Phil were I thought he was a real gentleman, there was definitely a spark between us from the start...I thought he had such lovely eyes, they really sparkled....and he was such a good listener. He says he felt at ease with me instantly.

We felt instantly comfortable with each other and found lots to talk about. There were even a few coincidences, we had both been living in London around about the same time in the 1990's...and he remembered seeing me in one of my touring drama shows at a school where he is a careers adviser in 2003.

Even though we have different interests we get on very well and make each other laugh and if it wasn't for Xfactor we might never have met, so it’s a big thank you from Orinda & Phil!
